Offending command: cs(PDF)

A PostScript error typecheck offending command cs(PDF) can pop up on a Global Graphics (Harlequin) ScriptWorks RIP when trying to process a PDF file created using InDesign.

Solutions

  • This error can be caused by composite fonts which are not supported properly by older versions of the Harlequin RIPs. Upgrade to release 5.5r1a or later of the Harlequin ScriptWorks RIP.
  • For a PostScript error typecheck; Offending Command: cs(PDF) when printing an Adobe PDF file or from Adobe Acrobat or InDesign: create a PostScript file, convert it to PDF with ‘Acrobat 3 compatibility’ activated, and print this PDF.
