This error is caused by paths composed of many point.

Various things you can try

• Try simplifying the drawings in your document. Avoid PICT or CGM files, use EPS instead.
• Some drawing programs like FreeHand offer filters to automatically simplify curves. Use these if possible.
• If you used the magic wand in PhotoShop to mask some images: recreate the masks using the drawing tools of PhotoShop. This simplifies these often very complex curves.
