DITA

DITA is the abbreviation for Darwin Information Typing Architecture, an XML-based standard for designing, writing, managing, and publishing many kinds of information in print and on the Web.

DITA is designed to support structured, topic-based information and geared mainly towards technical documentation, Help systems and other information sets consisting of modular information with many topics of the same type(s).
