Jump line

In page design a jump line or jumpline is a line of text that indicates when stories continue on, or from, other pages. Typical examples are ‘Cont. on page 3′ or ‘continued from page 1′.

When you create a jump line using an application like Adobe InDesign, the page number is automatically updated if the pagination changes.
