Cameo

A coated paper which is particularly suitable for reproducing halftones and engravings. It has a dull velvety non-shining surface and can also be used as drawing paper. However, the soft surface cannot stand erasures.

Cameo is also a type of engraving technique which dates back to as early as 3000-3500 B.C.
