Offending command: ashow

A PostScript error offending command ashow points to a specific issue with a text or font element.

  • It can be caused by text that has been offset. Examples of this include the use of kerning, superscripts or subscripts or custom letter spacing or word spacing.
  • Corrupted fonts are another possible source of errors such as %%[ Error: limitcheck; OffendingCommand: ashow ]%%

Solutions

  • Check all text in the job for any of the above characteristics.
  • Try replacing all fonts by reinstalled clean copies.
